the drivers side mirror (remote controlled type)vibrates at highway speeds causing rear viewed vehicle lights at night to bounce all over the place creating a dangerous situation. dealer replaced mirror three times to no avail. stated "ford knows about it, but has no fix, why not complain to the dsb". there is nothing i can do for it until ford acknowledges it as a defect and issues a tsb to us". okay i filled out the dsb form and a factory rep came and looked at it and stated: "98% of all f150's with these mirrors vibrate". "there is nothing i can do for you." issue is still pending before the dsb. ford's only tsb ref this issue says check tire pressure and/or bug deflectors. both of these were looked at, still shakes. ford has a design problem between the door/mirror combination. and the passenger side mirror does not move at all. *ak

turning rt after a stop, i began to accelerate. instantly the vehicle began to lisp to the left and travel across the center lane. applying the brakes i could not turn back into the rt lane. the left drivers mirrow was ripped off as it clipped a neighbors lawn pole. standing i still could not turn the vehicle. it stopped. not able to exit the drivers door, i did the passengers. inspecting, the left front wheel was gone. towed to beaudrt ford the vehicle had twice the damage as at the scene. ( pictures were taken at both places). ask if there were any recalls, i was told no, 4 times. this is untrue. i have been forced to allow beaudry to fix my vehicle as they tell me they cannot get any ford engineers to inspect the car. this suv fell apart. 152,000 of the same year 4x4s were recalled. *ak

truck wanders on road and pulls when brakes applied, dealer was told of this problem since viehicle was purchased they never could find the problem. i have owned this viehicle for 3 years and have replaced brake pads 3 times and have had to replace the hubs twice myself at my expence out of warranty now. there was almost a fatality when i applied the brakes my truck pulled me into the ditch sliding and rocking from drivers side to passenger side up on two wheels. my airbag light flashes on and off. who knows if they even work. my overdrive switch has been replaced 4 times and is broke again. door ajar lite on constantly. but quality ford cant find or offer me some kind of solution. they need to be investigated.

bought vehicle from american ford in hackensack nj car always had a humming sound in the front thought only to be tires took car back to fix three times while i still had orginal warranty and not once did anyone say anything about the humming. on the extended warranty they say this part is not covered and waited until now to say, oh by the way you have a bad hub and it will cost you 500.00 to get it fixed. my complaint is that this part was defective before i bought the car and they ought to be responsible in fixing it. i originally took the car back the 4th time because when i came to a stop the car would not move again when pressing down the accelerator. *mr

my 2001 ford focus zx3 (zetec) was traveling on freeway, and the rear end began to wobble, fish tail side to side, spark, and smoke. the rear passenger bearing was destroyed, and i was stranded while on leave from my duties as a marine. i purchased a new bearing and fitted it myself. i recall a "recall" notice i received, and i remember turning in the vehicle to have the defect corrected, but it obviously was not. i no longer have this notice. i spoke with a local dealer and the technician, i talked to said that they had replaced all the rear bearings in the ford focuses that they had sold many months ago. upon further investigation, we found that the hub and bearing assemblies that i had and the new one that ford had on hand were dissimilar in that the newer ones had a sealing flange attached to the inside of the bearing. i'm taking the vehicle itself to the dealership that supposedly examined the part before for further scrutiny and reconsideration for my bill. *ak

i just want to file a complaint in regards to the 4wd on the 1992 ford explorer. the problem is that it will not disengage from 4wd to 2wd. i feel that because of this is the reason for all the noise i hear coming from the front end. i have not replaced it because it will cost me between $300-$800 depending on what i put on it. i would like to know what i need to get this replaced? i have two smsll children that are in the vehicle with me most of the time and don't want anything to go wrong with this that will cause me to have an accident. *nm
