i have a 2005 chrysler 300. it has 72,000 miles on it. i had bought the extended warranty for up to 70,000 miles. i have quite a few problems and i know i am over the "70,000" miles, but only by 2,000 and chrysler will not help me. these repairs will cost $1800.00. i have already paid $400.00 and this is the 7th chrysler we have bought since 1985........where is the owner loyalty? when i call customer service, i can never get passed a senior rep. yesterday he told me there was no one. higher......then give me the ceo, he'd love to have this little complaint passed up to him! i only want them to pay the remaining $1400.00 in repairs.......my husband is planning on buying another dodge truck in a few months.....and i will buy a car next year. is worth losing 2 purchases next year for $1400.00????? can anyone help me? thanks, eileen verhoest *tr

i rented a chrysler 300 over this past weekend. i want you to know that it was the scariest ride i've had in a while. have you ever tested the electronic stability program on ice. it not only does not work, it is extremely dangerous. i had to drive about six hundred miles on icy and windy wyoming roads which proved to be quite scary in the 300 with esp. since i don't have another vehicle of my own with this feature, it took a while to figure out why the car didn't want to drive straight down the road, even at fairly slow speeds. these cars should have a hugh red warning sticker on the dash to warn prospective drivers that this feature is not safe to use in the wind and on ice. this program, if not turned off in these conditions will be the cause of many vehicle crashes, injury, and probably deaths! *tr

for the past few months, my car has been stalling while waiting at a stop sign and while running smoothly on the highway will suddenly skip and miss. i attributed this to "bad gasoline" or as my father would say, air in the line. i finally took the car to an automotive shop and he was unable to find the problem and advised me to take it to a chrysler dealer to check for idle quality on their computer. i took the car to the local vero beach chrysler dealer yesterday and was told they could find nothing wrong. when i was leaving, the young woman advisor told me to call aaa if it happened again, even though i told her i had no trouble restarting the car. something is very wrong here! *tr

vehicle appears to have a faulty esp (assume it stood for emergency skid protection) or anti-lock brake system. the car will slid on minor downward slops when snow is on the ground even when moving at a very slow speed (10-20mph). it doesn't have to be much snow on the ground either for this to occur. it occurs also rather the esp feature is on or off. the brakes feel like they are pumping themselves and have a grinding sound when pressed on. i am unable to control the car from sliding or shifting. it once slid into an intersection. another time during a slide on a very minor slop, had it not been for the car in front of me being at least 2-3 car lengths ahead of me, i would have slid right into the back of it. i have taken it to keystone chrysler where i purchased it. they ran a diagnostics on it but indicated that nothing showed up. however, they refuse to actually drive the car in snow conditions to see what i am experiencing and is reporting. i am uncomfortable and extremely fearful to drive the car any longer in snow like conditions. i have a truck which i drive the majority of the winter months which is why this was not detected sooner. additionally, the car shifts when encountering bumps in the road, especially if you're going in a downward direction and brakes are being applied. this occurs during wet or dry conditions. *tr

there was no incident, motor mounts break at ease and have been on back order since october of 08. i was told by rep at chrysler that mounts on pacificas always break way before they are supposed to. i have been waiting 7 months for replacement but chrysler doesn't seem to have a clue as to when they'll be in. last i check which was last week could be months. the mounts are needed to keep the engine from falling out , no mounts means i can't drive my only car. *tr

my 2006 chrysler sebring convertible top come up while drive 50 miles per hour it happened three times. i am sure the latch was properly inserted each time. the front end suspension jumps easily and brakes make a loud crunch at times. the windshield wipers are constantly loud...i can't use them. replaced them and use soft compound to clean window and rain_x to no avail. i've had this vehicle to two different chrysler dealerships...they state no problem found. also they refuse to give me a day loan car. i paid $2500.00 when this vehicle was new for the extended lifetime warranty. this car is so noisy and air streams through the sides and front window. . i informed the dealership in the event the convertible top releases itself again on the highway..i will stop and call 911 and initiate a police report. *tr

1. there wasn't any events leading up to this failure, no accidents, etc 2. the failure is the motor mounts, engine lifts up when going forward) can cause deadly accident, engine coming out falling or flying out car sound louder than usual when going forward and when starting up. this can cause a deadly accident/serious because the engine can fall or fly out of the car. i have not gotten the car fixed. just found out what the problem was 2 days ago. was told to see if there was a recall because motors mount should not be bad after 2 years. thank you. *tr

under normal driving the esp/bas, and traction control warning lights chime and illuminate. chrysler dealer has diagnosed that there is a short in the clockspring, and advised me that the vehicle is unsafe to drive as i could lose control of the vehicle, and/or the air bags may not deploy in the event of an accident. i had clockspring replaced, and yes i do have the old part that is defective. *tr

i have a new town and country it is now 9 months old. i started having problems with the car approximately 4 months after purchase. i was just driving down the road and the car stalled it just shuts off there is no warning at all. this has happened on several different occasions. i have had the car back to the dealer on several different occasions for this problem. it happened to me once while i was turning out onto a busy road and the car stalled right at the on ramp to the highway. i was with my two children in the car. i drove the car to the dealer the next day and told them i would not drive it anymore they needed to figure it out. they took the car but, when i got it back within a week it happened again. i have also had trouble with the tire pressure monitor system coming on constantly but, there is nothing wrong with the tires. also i was away with my family but, i was again alone with my children and we pulled into a kohls parking lot in new jersey and the car shut off and would not turn back on. i could not lock or unlock the vehicle. nothing worked i called the dealer because i was in a n unfamiliar place and they got me to road side assistance. while i waited for road side assistance the car just started again on its on. this has now happened on 2 different occasions. when driving on the highway now when i put on the brakes the whole car shakes. i have had this vehicle in to the dealer at least 5 or 6 times for all of these problems that are never resolved. this is a brand new car and i do not feel safe driving around with my kids in it. i have also contacted chrysler at their vehicle complaint department and have gotten no satisfaction there either. *tr

2002 pt cruiser sport model. car would not start, when sitting far a few days, had been driving car all day and turned car off to do an errand and car would not start. car has left me stranded where i had to have it towed several times. bought car new and have had this problem for 7 years. kept bringing back to the dealer and couldn't find any problems every time. finally found a dealer service manager that knew the problem. insufficient quality parts were being used when chrysler was about to go bankrupt. the battery wires from the battery to the alternator were not supplying enough voltage to maintain enough to recharge the battery. upgraded the wires to a higher voltage and have not had the problem for about 10 months. it took 7 years to find the problem which caused problems of me using the car. chrysler used low grade parts through out the car and people are getting rid of them and then someone else buys it and it continues. i will never buy a chrysler made car again, very unsatisfied customer considering how much i paid for it. was way over priced at the time i bought it. i could buy a much better car and higher end model for what i paid for my car. *tr

dashboard warning light esp/bas illuminated. i brought the vehicle to the dealer to see what was wrong. the dealer diagnosed the problem and found that the "steering angle sensor" was bad. the steering "clock spring" was suggested to be replaced due to the fact that the "steering angle sensor" was part of a whole unit (the clock spring) and cannot be changed separately. my vehicle was just out of warranty at 36,000 miles and was no longer covered. i am concerned that the bad part is connected to the vehicle stability system and why it has failed so early in the life of the vehicle. *tr

the car continues to stall at low speeds. we have taken to mechanic and they do not find any service alerts, and weren't able to duplicate on a test drive. it is starting to pick up in frequency to where it is doing it every other day now. i also called the service group at the chrsyler dealer i purchased it from, and they said they can only do what i had already done with the other mechanic shop. i went to the chrysler forum to post and see if anyone else had experienced this, and see numerous postings of this issue over the years. i am very concerned with the safety of my family, as when the car stalls, it locks up and i lose control. i have to pull over and restart.

the anti braking system on the 2004 chrysler crossfire is not working correctly, the warning light comes on when you slow the vehicle or when you are braking. the warning light is the anti-brake system failure light. also with that light, is the brake assist light indicator. although the car is running fine and there seems to be no issue with the system the lights come on. *tr

my 2007 chrysler 300c has a lifetime powertrain warranty. i received the document listing the parts covered for the lifetime warranty. my abs, esp and tcs lights came on. the right rear speed sensor went bad. i called graven and set up appointment for warranty work. i also called chrysler corp. i brought my car to graven chrysler, 10-10-11 at approx. 2:30pm. graven chrysler called the next morning, 10-11-11 7:53am my car was ready. graven said it was going to cost $135. i said that the work was warranty. graven said it wasn't warranty work because part number doesn't come back as warranty. i explained to the assistant that it is warranty, that my car has a lifetime powertrain warranty. she said that only covers the engine, transmission and driveline. i said it also covers a lot of other parts which i have a list of. she then said, you will have to talk with chrysler and there was nothing she could do. chrysler said i have to pay a $50.00 co-pay. i said why should i pay a co-pay when this part has a lifetime warranty. i was told i can pay the $50.00 or $185. i said that i was told it was $135. i said for now i will pay the $50.00 but would file a complaint for the warranty and getting my $50.00 back. the next day i received a call from chrysler. i was asked how my car was running. i said it drove home ok. she said that she would close the case then. i said that i can't understand why you made me pay $50.00 co-pay when the part is listed on the paperwork as having a lifetime warranty under the powertrain. she said that i could call graven chrysler back and try and get them to except it. i said, why, you are the person who makes the decision as you did about the co-pay and the graven chrysler wouldn't even do that. chrysler corp case number [xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

while driving at speed of 40 mph all lights on the console began blinking repeatedly, the tachometer and speedometer began going up and down, car began to rapidly decelerate and then died giving me just enough time to get off the side of the road before causing an accident. turned off ignition and restarted the ignition car gave no indications of malfunction, drove home and have not drove since. if you google "pt cruiser console going crazy" you will see multiple other owners are having the same issue. this is not just a simple malfunction this is a danger to not only the owner but to others on the roadway. chrysler should be checking into the issue, but instead after contacting them and letting them know others are experiencing the same issue, they told me "unfortunately, we are unable to provide technical assistance to diagnose the situation you have outlined in your email...if you have been working with an authorized dealership but the problem is not yet resolved, seeking a second opinion from a different dealer may be a viable option." which i take to mean take it to a dealership, get charged an outrageous amount for them to see if they know what is wrong, if they still don't know after charging you $600 then take it to another dealership which may know more about our cars than we do.
this is an irresponsible, slipshoddy way to run a company. if we want to have a good reputation for cars then the companies that make them have to stand by them and not try to send their customers off to other dealerships after charging them an arm and a leg and still not knowing how to fix it. they should know their cars better than say a honda dealership would. i hope other people have posted complaints so that chrysler will fix this life threatening issue because going from 40 to 0 on a busy road is dangerous! *tr
