Audi Allroad Quattro 2001

Safety incident date:

2001 audi a6 allroad has had a brake/throttle lag issue since it was purchased. the car can be extremely dangerous to drive. my wife was driving the allroad and she told me that she was almost hit by an oncoming vehicle when the car did not "go" as she expected it too, based on her throttle inputs. at another intersection she lifted her foot off of the gas, reapplied the gas and this time the car went so fast that she almost hit the car in front of her at the upcoming intersection. she told me that she was almost crying because "i did not tell her the car 'drove like that!'" the problems are: 1). aoa issued a technical service bulletin dated september 9th of 2004 on this isue., not a recall. 2) i complained for over 1 year about this problem to the dealer before the ecu was replaced on may 15th of 2004. (i have copies of letters sent to audi) 3) the new control unit put in the car in may of 2004 does not work correctly either, by reasonable specifications, or else my wife would not have had this problem. 4) a "judder happens when turing slowly and giving the car gas, too. this may be the reason that the vehicle has had to have seals replaced in the motor and transmission, too, from the electrical miscommunications between the ecu and the transmission. 5) this is an extremely dangerous problem and needs to be figured out by aoa as well as under a national recall campaign. 6) audi told me today that the car is "performing to specs," which is a lie. this car has been to the dealership over 100 documented times, but aoa just says, "we are sure the car can be reapaired under your new car/certified used car warranty, thank you!"

i own a 2006 audi s4 with bi=xenon hid lights. numerous amounts of times the indication comes up that i have a dipped headlight. this in turn is because the headlight is off and i'm driving at night. this safety violation will end up costing me every time i go to the dealership to get new parts installed and labor and the high probability of a ticket for having a head light out from the police or other agencies in the area. *tr

my audi, along with thousands of others have had their abs control unit malfunction because of design. this malfunction causes the abs to not work on the affected vehicle. volkswagen, the company that produces audis and vws actually recalled this exact part on their vw vehicles, but for some reason refuses to correct the problem for their audi customers. the cost to replace this control unit is $1,400 - $1,700, and as such i have been driving my vehicle without its abs functioning. below is a description of the recall for this exact part, but on the vw jetta: "2002 volkswagen jetta gls nhtsa recall id number: 02v031000 recall date: jan 31, 2002 component: service brakes, hydraulic:antilock potential units affected: 55000 summary: on some passenger vehicles, short circuits can occur within the electronic control unit of the anti-lock braking system (abs). consequence: this can result in a fire. remedy: dealers will replace the abs control unit. owner notification began march 8, 2002. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact volkswagen at 1-800-822-8987. notes: volkswagen of america, inc," please look into this issue and help vw to make the right choice for the safety of their customers and others on the road. thank you for your time and attention to this important matter! *tr

in summary, in december, 2013, the referenced 2013 audi a7 received a diagnosis for malfunctioning homelink, malfunctioning electric seat belt tensioner (audi pre-sense), navigation system errors and related items. on may 12, 2014 the vehicle was dropped off at audi orland park, illinois, for such repairs. on may 19, 2014, upon information and belief, homelink electronic module had been replaced. however, upon replacement, a new, systemic problem arose, that is, replacement of the 5f module became required due to risks the 5f module will fail upon reprogramming. as of may 19, 2014, despite replacement of homelink electronic module, no repair had been accomplished. a particularly troubling matter is that the 5f module required programming which, in the past, had caused 5f module failures in other audi vehicles. thus, one apparently minor failure (in this case, homelink) can lead to systemic failure in various audi models. a systemic failure due to 5f module defective design and defective programming is unsafe and legally unacceptable. *tr

adaptive module j428 failed and brakes seized while vehicle was in motion.. audi customer service said that since they could not find a recall and the vehicle was nine years old they thought it was not their problem. i think the problem could have e resulted in a serious accident at high speeds and could have killed me. i paid for the repair but told them they should check into the problem because of the safety issue but did not receive a positive response. i feel the problem should be researched and i would like feed back on any information that would result from the research. *tr

i was driving down the highway and have continuously gotten the "dipped light" warning on my display. my lights procceded to flicker and then shut off. i was driving right next to a car and had to pull over because the wouldn't come on. it took 15 minutes before the headlights returned to normal. i was extremely scared when my headlights turned off. this is a big safety issue and has occurred 3 times since then. i have replaced the bulbs and that did not solve the problem. i know there is a tsb for this problem, but i think there is a need for a recall as i almost got into an accident on the highway.

this has been the third time my audi a6 3.0t has been to the dealer since purchasing it as a cpo vehicle for a steering wheel jerk and squeak problem at any speed. it wants to move the steering wheel (since it is electronic) slightly as well as squeak. i believe there has been a recall notice for this problem but my dealer has yet to recitify this problem and many many others have this same issue. a simple google search brings up tons of owners with this issue. please help me to bring this to audi and to resolution. i don't feel safe driving this car as it is currently.
